Retreat

It’s good to have a mental retreat, an inner space where you can escape the world. But is your refuge going to stay unaffected by what’s around it? or will it start slowly falling apart? How long until it’s gone?

I never meant this to be a happy painting, but I didn’t expect it to turn a little bit sad. It’s vital that we feel, and even if we burry some feelings somewhere deep pretending that all is good it’s worth acknowledging that they are there. With everything that is happening around please remember that you are allowed to feel.
