Detachment

I have learnt while painting this that flowers are actually quite difficult to paint. I struggled a bit to get to the result I am happy with. This painting is about disconnecting ourselves from what we know about the world, first step in the process of change. When you realise you don’t want to be attached to this one place always. Is detaching ourselves from the ground harming? Do we lose the strength or are we transforming into a different being, shedding our skin, losing our petals? Is it a bad or a good thing, can it be defined as one or another? A topic I will definitely want to explore more.
